Gulf Bank covers rent expenses for one Kuwaiti student
KUWAIT: Gulf Bank concluded its sponsorship of the annual National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) Conference in the United States. This year, Gulf Bank partnered with NUKS as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility commitment to support and empower Kuwaiti youth.
This year’s NUKS Conference kicked off November 28 in San Diego, California and hosted several events and activities for Kuwaiti students who are studying abroad in the United States. Gulf Bank organized numerous entertaining activities for the students starting Nov. 30, which included raffle draws for cash prizes. One lucky winner, Abdulaziz Al-Sibaiei, was awarded the grand prize of having his rent expenses covered by Gulf Bank for an entire year. Two lucky winners - Sayed Ali Al-Hashim and Layan Al-Sultan also received cash prizes worth $5000. Gulf Bank’s Human Resources team attended the conference to offer career and training opportunities to students and collect resumes and CVs from interested applicants in an effort to facilitate their hiring process at the Bank after graduation. NUKS attendees also gained access to exclusive offers and services from Gulf Bank. In addition, Gulf Bank sponsored the ‘Al-Danah Hour’ show, which was hosted by Talal Al-Yaqout and Khaled Al-Ansari from Kuwait Pulse, 88.8 FM.
Commenting on Gulf Bank’s sponsorship of this year’s NUKS Conference, Gulf Bank’s General Manager of Human Resources, Salma Al-Hajjaj, said: “We are delighted to have sponsored this year’s NUKS conference, and to have gotten a chance to meet with our Kuwaiti students there. We are looking forward to welcoming them back home as our colleagues at Gulf Bank. “Gulf Bank was represented at the conference by a number of employees from the Bank’s Human Resources, Communications, and Consumer Banking departments.
